Anamaria Marina is an Romanian actor. She won with the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress in The Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. She can fluently speak French, German English, as well as Romanian. Her father is a theater teacher at one of the country's highest-rated acting schools. In the Mangalia Gala of Young Actors, she was awarded the Best Female Actor Award 2000. The year 2008 saw her honoured"an European Shooting Star" by the European Film Promotion Board. She starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 weeks si 2 days (4 months, 3 weeks and 2 Days) by Cristian Mungiu. The film received the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two additional awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI award). Additionally, she was a child in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she was the character Yasim anwar in BBC Mini-Series The Last Enemy. Marinca is a regular on the Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegels Five Minutes of Heaven. Later she played Irma's German Aunt in Fury that was released in the year 2014.
