Alexandra Rose Raisman was born on May 25, 1994. She retired as an American artistic gymnast. She was leader of the 2012 "Fierce Five" and the"Fierce Five," and the 2016 "Final Five," U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics team. At the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, she won a gold medal in the team competition, making her and her co-teammate Gabby Douglas the sole Americans with back-to-back gold team medals. Raisman also won silver medals for individual all-around, as well as for the floor exercise. She is the third-most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history, following Shannon Miller and Simone Biles and has won six Olympic medals.Raisman was also part of the gold-winning American teams at the 2011 and 2015 World Championships, and the world bronze medalist on floor exercise in the year 2011. She also is the two-time national champion of floor exercise (2012,2015) and the national champion in 2012 of balance beam and five times medallist in all-around at national championships (silver and bronze in the years of and 2010, as well as in 2011 and 2012 as well as 2012 and in 2015). She was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in the year 2013.
